Pros: Easy to find third party accessories for itCons: Its laggy, dies easily and is frustrating to useNot the best. Its extremely laggy and the apps crash all the time. I have to type my stupid apple password in every time I want to do something which is very inconvenient. I didn't have an apple account before and creating one was the biggest hassle on the planet.

Here’s what one of the owners had to say about the Apple iPod touch 8GB :

Pros: Great price at 195 less 30 gift card! Apple apps second to none! Looks stunning!Cons: Replacing broken screen is excessively expensive. Short battery life. Everything about the IPOD is excellent. I bought one of the last versions, and except for a broken screen, it still works amazingly in the hands of my 3 yo grandson! He is a master at it, knows all of his alphabet, and reads and sounds out many words already, thanks to software/App used correctly with the adult. ( PABLO321 )

Just to be fair, I own both the iPod classic and the iPod touch.

Here’s what one of the owners had to say about the Samsung Galaxy 4.0 Android MP3 Player :

Pros: Everything!!!Cons: Can't think of anything. I'm sold on Android. I've owned 4 Android phones and am now on the HTC EVO 3D. Pinterest making money by adding tracking code to certain user pins

Thumbnail

(Credit: Screenshot by Lance Whitney/CNET)How does a Web site like Pinterest make money? At least one blogger has found and revealed the answer. The online pinboard lets people share their interests and other “things they love” by pinning a photo or other image onto the site. Users can then respond to that pin by commenting on it, liking it, or repinning as one of their own favorites.Sounds pretty cut and dried so far. But as described by blogging site LLSocial.com, if a user submits a pin that links to an e-commerce site with an affiliate program, then Pinterest tweaks that link to add tracking code for the affiliate. If someone clicks on the image and actually buys something from the affiliate, Pinterest gets a cut of the sales.Adding tracking code to links isn’t by itself a cause for concern. A lot of sites do that. What seems to bother the LLSocial blogger instead is the fact that Pinterest hasn’t disclosed this bit of information to its users. The blogger even opines that Pinterest is running this program for two reasons: 1) to generate money in its early beta stage, atypical among new social networks; and 2) to go about this in a “quiet, non-disclosing” manner.Stressing the non-disclosure aspect, the LLSocial blog also claims that not revealing the tracking code tweaks to individual links puts retailers at a disadvantage. Stores that do have an affiliate program may not be aware of the process or the fact that Pinterest is getting a piece of their sales pie.”Pinterest likely should disclose this practice to users even if they aren’t required to do so by law, if only to maintain trust with their users,” added the blogger.Related storiesIs Pinterest the ‘next big thing’ in social media?

I have to go along with LLSocial on this one.I have no problem with a site like Pinterest adding tracking code to certain links and getting a cut of sales from its affiliates. The practice is common, and actually a smart way for a new site to generate money early on.But not disclosing the practice up front does make it seem like Pinterest in trying to hide the practice.Revealing the full details at this point would go a long way toward ensuring the trust of its users, something any new Web site should place as a priority.Pinterest did not immediately respond to CNET’s request for comment.

Pros: Huge screenCons: best option compared to apple Ipod touch to date. I was set on buying an Ipod touch next month, till I saw the galaxy player. It is a bit more than the new price on the touch, but the screen is huge compared to the apple unit. If you are used to Android on a phone this will be very easy to use.

Pros: display, uSD card slot, stereo, fm radio, apps, size, cost, speedCons: not much RAM, video cam switching buggy,Value for what you get is what this is all about. Size is perfect for carry and big enough to read fine print. Although pixel resolution may seem lower than itouch, it is crystal clear and sharp with brilliant colors. ( lotekdigital )
